February 28th: Mulligan’s in West Mifflin
Join our Beer Pong tournament!  $20 per team. Winning team will receive 2 tickets to Pens vs Sharks on Sunday, March 29! 15%  of food sales and 25 cents per drink will be donated to LLS beginning at 6:00pm! Children are welcome from 6:00-9:00.

We will also hold 50/50 raffle and sell tickets for a chance to win:

March 2nd: Gianna Via’s Restaurant and Bar
Stop into Gianna Via’s in Caste Village on March 2nd for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or happy hour and ask your waitress to donate 15% of your check to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

March 6-15: Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center
If you’re at the Home and Garden Show, stop by our table and purchase tickets to our campaign Grand Finale event at Heinz Field on May 8th! Also enter for a chance to win the Roethelisberger or Crosby framed photo! (Drawing on March 15th!)

March 28th: Getaway Cafe 
Stop into Getaway Cafe between 11:00am-11:00pm and ask your waitress to donate 20% of your bill to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! We will be raffling off prizes throughout the day!

April 3rd: Wheeling Nailers Game
Check out the website to purchase tickets, or print the form and mail it into the ticket office! If we sell at least 50 tickets, the Nailers will donate the proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle to LLS. Additionally, a portion of ticket sales will be donated!

April 11th: Song Wars at Mulligans!
Join us again at Mulligans for Song Wars! Pay to play a song or pay to turn off someone’s terrible song right in the middle!

April 18th: Pirates vs Brewers Game and Tailgate!
Join us for the Pirate game and pre-game tailgate! Tickets are $22 each. Email hockeykickscancer@gmail.com to find out about ticket availability. Limited tickets are available! Payment due via PayPal by March 13th! We will post lot details day of the event for the tailgate! Bring snacks and some cash to get in on the Flip Cup Tournament of Champions! All proceeds to be donated to LLS from tailgate games. The Pirates are donating a portion of ticket sales. (Tailgate pending weather)

April 22nd: Alex and Ani Pre-Mother’s Day Party!
Come celebrate Mother’s Day early at Alex and Ani’s in Shady Side. Bring your mom with you and enjoy light snacks and shopping or come buy your mom an amazing gift. 15% of sales will be donated to LLS. Please email Stevie at hockeykickscancer@gmail.com if you wish to participate!

April 25th: Golf Outing at Lindenwood
Enjoy a day of golf for a good cause! Contests will be held at various holes for prizes. $75 per person. Join on your own, or bring a foursome! Hockey Kicks Cancer 2015 Charity Calendar!

As we approach the end of our 3rd year as an event, we have decided to do something in the kickball off season to benefit our friends at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the time of year where most of us think about giving to others.

This year, we are selling a calendar featuring a Pittsburgh Penguins garden gnome at various sights around our beautiful city of Pittsburgh. We cannot express enough our gratitude to the NHL and the Penguins organization for allowing us the privilege of using their logo to help raise awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The calendar is being pre-sold as we work with our publisher to have the calendars printed and shipped to Pittsburgh. The cost is $15+ shipping. We are shipping anywhere in the United States, Canada, and Europe for a flat rate for each region.

100% of the proceeds from the calendars will be donated to the Western Pennsylvania/West Virginia Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

2014 HKC Game Schedule!

Below is a copy of the game schedule for HKC’s first round of  games.

Like last year, we are running a double elimination tournament, running 2 games at a time.

Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your team’s first game to allow time to check-in and turn in your donation basket/auction items. Team captains, please pass these times along to your teammates.

Prize Basket Donations!

One of the keys to making Hockey Kicks Cancer a huge success is auction items and prize basket donations.

We already have a wonderful set of prizes on deck from the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Mario Lemieux Foundation, and local beer distributors and spas, but we need your help!

Now Accepting Teams!

This year we will be accepting 12 teams to participate in Hockey Kicks Cancer on July 26, 2014.

The Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena accommodations will allow us to once again play two games at a time, splitting the larger, open field in two. The tournament will be double elimination.

Teams will be limited to a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 13. The cost is $23 per player.

If you would like to host a team, email hockeykickscancer@gmail.com with the following information:

We will reach out to teams at a later date to choose team colors. Teams will choose colors in order of senority from previous years, with the previous year’s champion choosing first.

We ask that all teams donate either a prize basket or auction item to the event.

Registration will open on April 1st and run through June 30th. Additional entries will not be accepted after June 30th. No acceptions, as shirts will need to be ordered by that date. Spectators and additional players will be able to pay at the door, but will not be guaranteed to receive a shirt. Extra shirts will be in limited supply at the event.
