As we approach the end of our 3rd year as an event, we have decided to do something in the kickball off season to benefit our friends at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at the time of year where most of us think about giving to others.
This year, we are selling a calendar featuring a Pittsburgh Penguins garden gnome at various sights around our beautiful city of Pittsburgh. We cannot express enough our gratitude to the NHL and the Penguins organization for allowing us the privilege of using their logo to help raise awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The calendar is being pre-sold as we work with our publisher to have the calendars printed and shipped to Pittsburgh. The cost is $15+ shipping. We are shipping anywhere in the United States, Canada, and Europe for a flat rate for each region.
100% of the proceeds from the calendars will be donated to the Western Pennsylvania/West Virginia Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
You may place your order at our Ecwid page or via our Facebook Page. We will do our best to ship for Christmas delivery so get your orders in as soon as possible!
Please share with your friends and family and help us in our continued fight against cancer!
Remember to check back throughout the year and follow us on Facebook for more information on how you can help with the 4th annual 2015 Hockey Kicks Cancer Kickball Tournament.

Special thank you to Andrew Burk, Milynda Boeck-Moore, and Jon Hosler for all of their hard work in making this calendar possible. Without them, it wouldn’t exist!
Please reserve August 1, 2015 for our next tournament! This is a tentative date, as we are working with the Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena to secure our spot for next year.
Below is a copy of the game schedule for HKC’s first round of games.
Like last year, we are running a double elimination tournament, running 2 games at a time.
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your team’s first game to allow time to check-in and turn in your donation basket/auction items. Team captains, please pass these times along to your teammates.
If you have questions, please contact us at email@example.com!
The facility address is:
Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena
22 Rich Hill Rd, Cheswick, PA 15024
One of the keys to making Hockey Kicks Cancer a huge success is auction items and prize basket donations.
We already have a wonderful set of prizes on deck from the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Mario Lemieux Foundation, and local beer distributors and spas, but we need your help!
We are accepting donations for baskets with the following themes:
Family Game Night
Adult Game Night
Lottery Ticket Tree
Kids Summer Basket
Giftcards to Amazon, iTunes, Google Play
Please let us know ASAP if you are interested in making a basket this year. Email firstname.lastname@example.org. All baskets will be picked up after July 20th.
Thank you everyone for your help each year! We couldn’t do this without your generosity and support!

Check back in the coming weeks for more information about this year’s event!
Rules of the game will run similar to your typical, elementary school-recess kickball game.
1. Games will be played 3-4 at a time as multiple fields are allowed.
2. We are running a 10 team-double elimination tournament. The first games are to begin at 11:00am.
3. Games will be played at a minimum of 5 innings, extra innings will be played in the event of a tie.
4. 9 players are allowed on the field at a time per team, filling all of the appropriate infield and outfield positions. Players may rotate from inning to inning.
5. All players on a team are permitted in the batting order.
6. There will be 3 outs to retire the side.
7. Foul lines and homerun lines will be determined on site the night before as we explore our layout possibilities with facility management.
8. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in removal from the tournament.
9. If you wish to play music or add accessories to your uniforms, feel free. Just ensure that you are dressed in a way that will not cause injury to yourself and others.
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your first game! We will begin at 11:00. If umpires are not available, we will utilize the honor system. If you are willing to umpire games in between your own games, we would greatly appreciate it. Please be fair and objective!
This is a family friendly event. Please always keep in mind that this event is to benefit charity. It is only a game. Treat it as such and have a good time!
